Research interests

  • Isolation and identification of natural products from medicinal plants and microorganisms such as endophytes (bacteria and fungi) for targeting various aliments including cancer, inflammation, tropical diseases, infections
  • Application of silent genes activation methods for expanding the chemical space of microorganisms
  • Determination of absolute configuration of chiral natural products using chiroptical methods including electronic circular dichroism (ECD) and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD)
  • Structure elucidation of Natural Products using Computer Assisted Structure Elucidation methods (CASE)
