Das Diplomstudium Internationale Wirtschaftswissenschaften ist ideal für Studierende, die sich für betriebs-und volkswirtschaftliche Themen als auch für andere Kulturen und Fremsprachen interessieren.
Der Studiengang Internationale Wirtschaftswissenschaften (IWW) ist ein erfolgreicher Einstieg in die (internationale) Berufswelt.
Die AbsolventInnen dieses Studienprogramms besitzen aufgrund ihrer fundierten internationalen betriebs- und volkswirtschaftlichen Ausbildung hervorragende Kompetenzen im Bereich der Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
Durch einen verpflichtenden Auslandsaufenthalt an einer nicht-deutschsprachigen Universität erlangen die Studierenden Weltgewandtheit und Fremdsprachenkompetenz sowie besondere Sensibilität im Umgang mit fremden Kulturen und Managementpraktiken. Dies sind die Qualifikationen, die von vielen Arbeitgebern besonders geschätzt werden.
Karrieremöglichkeiten liegen in öffentlichen und privaten Unternehmen im In- und Ausland. Auch nationale und internationale Forschungseinrichtungen sowie supranationale Einrichtungen beschäftigen AbsolventInnen der Internationalen Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Berufsfelder finden sich in den Branchen Marketing, Controlling, Banken und Finanzen, Personalwesen, Unternehmensführung u.v.m
Man unterscheidet zwischen dem Diplom- und Bachelorstudium.

I have chosen 'International Economic and Business Studies' because I am interested in business and economic subjects and I also like to speak foreign languages. On top of that, this study programme gives me the opportunity to study abroad at a non-German teaching university where I will be able to make new friends from different countries and cultures. Although the program ischallenging there is still time to enjoy Innsbruck and its surroundings for sport activities. Skiing and snow boarding in winter is really great!
