Simon Fuger, PhD
Inncubator
Simon has been part of the team since early 2016 and completed his PhD in Management at the University of Innsbruck in 2021. During his PhD studies, he cofounded the startup center InnCubator (www.inncubator.at), where he began applying his academic expertise to practice. After completing his PhD, he continued his work at InnCubator and is now Head of the Prototyping Division.
In this role, Simon supports startups in developing and implementing innovative products and solutions. As a startup coach, he guides early-stage startups in designing their business models and navigating the path to market entry.
At the university, Simon's research focused on online (social) innovation communities and crowdsourcing initiatives, with a particular emphasis on user dynamics, interaction behavior, reward systems, and team building within these contexts. His academic work and practical experience allow him to bridge theory and practice, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.

Quantitative research in the areas of online innovation communities, user roles, team building, reward systems, crowdsourcing, and social innovation.
