Cecilia Palmeiro teaches Contemporary Latin American Studies and Gender Theory at National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) and at New York University in Buenos Aires.
She received her PhD from Princeton University, and a repatriation postdoctoral fellowship from CONICET- University of Buenos Aires. She has published the books Desbunde y felicidad. De la cartonera a Perlongher (Debauchery and Happiness: From Cartonera Publishers to Perlongher; 2011, 2019), Néstor Perlongher. Correspondencia (Correspondence by Néstor Perlongher; 2016), and the novel Cat Power. La toma de la Tierra (Cat Power: The Take of the Earth; 2017).
She is a founding member of the Ni Una Menos (Not One Woman Less) feminist collective and an organizer of the International Feminist Strike. Together with Fernanda Laguna, she is the co-curator of the live-archive/exhibit “Mareadas en la marea” (High on the Tide).
