Registration: For language courses the registration takes place at the ISI (International Language Center of the University of Innsbruck, Innrain 52f, Bruno-Sander-Haus, 1st floor): Where to go
For personal registration you have to bring your Student ID Card, your "Mitteilungsblatt" (acceptance letter which was sent to you by the admission office), and the "Anmeldeformular" (completed application form).
Placement test: Online placement tests are available to help you find the course most suitable for you. After submitting the placement test as an electronic document, you will promptly receive an analysis of your results and a course recommendation. Notice that the online placement test link is only available at the beginning and during the placement test duration. If you take the online test, a Matrikelnummer/studentID will be asked - just leave this field void).
The number of places for all German language Courses is limited! First come, first served, by personal registration!

German as a foreign language

These courses are for all students who are interested in learning and improving their German.
Costs:
- Basisstufe / Basic Level: € 160 (free for ERASMUS students)
- Aufbaustufe / Intermediate Level: € 160
- Qualifizierungsstufe / Advanced Level: € 160
- Konversation / Conversation: € 40
- Schreibkurs / Writing Course: € 40
ECTS Credits:
- 8 hours: 10 ECTS Credits
- 6 hours: 7.5 ECTS Credits
- 4 hours: 5 ECTS Credits
- 2 hours: 2.5 ECTS Credits
... for ERASMUS students
These courses are only offered for ERASMUS students with intermediate German level. ERASMUS students who do not speak German at all and students with little German skills are allowed to attend the basic courses in "German as a Foreign Language for all".

Supplementary exam German for non-exchange students
The supplementary exam in German is required for non-exchange students who do not have a German certificate when enrolling at the University of Innsbruck!
Without the supplementary exam in German, non-exchange students are not allowed to take a final exam at the University Innsbruck - Faculty of Business and Management!
