Outlook

Dear Participants,

the virtual lecture part of our seminar ends this week with the present lecture, where we give an outlook to further subjects concerning various important topics from numerical analysis where semigroup theory plays an important role. We decided, based on our personal taste, to include four different subjects: rational approximations, non-autonomous equations, geometric properties of Runge-Kutta methods, and exponential integrators. Since Phase 1 ends here, there will be no more exercises. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you for following the lectures, solving the exercises and participating in the lively discussion on the wiki page. "Gentlemen, it's been a privilege flying with you."

In Phase 2 you will have the opportunity to work on projects where you will enjoy the fruit of your labor. More details follow next week.
