The biannually organised international conference at the University of Innsbruck will take place from 21-22 September 2021.
- Annual Conference 2021 of the Society for Media Studies (GfM): Knowledge Ecology
The "Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft" (GfM) will hold its annual conference from 22 to 25 September 2021 to discuss current issues in the field and theoretical and methodological developments in media studies. In addition to the presentation of research results, the conference offers opportunities for personal exchange and the discussion of science-policy issues. The general theme of the conference in 2021 is "Knowledge Ecology".

Unfortunately, the Media Day 2020 had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We therefore look forward to welcoming you again in 2021 (expected date: 18.11.2021) to our annual Media Day in Innsbruck.
- 14th Media Summit in Lech am Arlberg
At the international media summit in Lech am Arlberg from 21st to 23rd of April 2022, renowned experts from journalism, politics and economics will discuss the consequences of the standstill and the reality after the Covid-19 pandemic.

- 15.-16.05.2020: 3rd Annual COMPTEXT Conference 2020 [virtual conference]
The Third International and Interdisciplinary Conference on the Quantitative and Computational Analysis of Textual Data will be held in Innsbruck, Austria, on 15-16 May 2020. COMPTEXT is an international community of quantitative text analysis scholars in political science, international relations and beyond. COMPTEXT is a legacy project of the 2018 POLTEXT Conference in Budapest and the 2019 POLTEXT Conference in Tokyo. Application deadline: 15 January 2020.
