Emmerich Kneringer
Associate Professor
PhD 1995, Univerity of Innsbruck
Emmerich Kneringer’s research is focused on experimental particle physics. This he is doing as a member of the Innsbruck high energy physics group and in close collaboration with CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. He was a member of the ALEPH collaboration where he was searching for the Higgs boson at the LEP collider. At present he is a member of the ATLAS collaboration where he is studying the properties of hadrons containing the beauty quark which are produced by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Currently his main topic is the search for rare decays of the neutral BS meson. Concerning lecturing Emmerich Kneringer is especially interested in the didactics of physics teaching.
