EasyConference Web Conference Tool

EasyConference based on the OpenSource Software jitsi.meet can be used for online meetings by the students themselves. This uncomplicated web conferencing tool is ideal for smaller meetings and meetings in project and study groups.  EasyConference also has some features, such as sharing the screen, chat function, etc.

Matrix/Element Chat System

The Matrix/Element open source chat system will be available from the winter semester onwards for quick and easy communication between students, project groups and course lecturers and students. As in most messengers, one-to-one chats and group chats can be held here, or rooms for project groups or courses can be created. The student chat can be accessed at https://studentchat.uibk.ac.at. An app for IOS and Android is also available. Students can be found using the search mask and invited to rooms and chats.

Sync&Share Fileshare Solution

As of the winter semester the Sync&Share fileshare service – accessible at  https://fileshare.uibk.ac.at  - will be available across the university. This service provides each student with 20GB of storage space for uploaded files that can be shared with other students and the faculty in various ways. This is intended to improve collaborative work on files in the long term. The personal memory on the web interface can also be synchronised with the operating system using special clients, as is the case with known services. An app for IOS and Android is also available for this purpose, so that fileshare can also be accessed on the go.
