- Dec. 05 at 10:30 in room 2S16: Group seminar talk by Maria Balanzo Juando
Title: Generalized Continuous Matrix Product States | Abstract: I will present preliminary work on the generalization of the ansatz of continuous matrix product states (cMPS). This work is motivated by the findings of Ref. [1], which show that not every continuum limit of a matrix product state can be expressed as a cMPS [2]. More precisely, the transfer matrix of a cMPS is a Markovian channel, whereas the transfer matrix of generalized cMPS is an infinitely divisible channel. I will present our working conjecture on the generalized cMPS as well as some examples. | Joint work with Gemma de las Cuevas | [1] G. De las Cuevas, N. Schuch, D. Pérez-García and J. I.
