How To Get There

Bus Transfer

  • From Innsbruck to Obergurgl (28.08.22): Departure at 17:30 pm from Innsbruck HBF (train station), with an additional stop at 18:00 pm at Innsbruck Airport. Arrival in Obergurgl approx. 1 1/2 -2h later. For those who arrive at Innsbruck HBF (train station) - the bus is waiting for you at Heiliggeiststraße 21, opposite the Ölmez Supermarket (see google maps screenshot below).
  • From Obergurgl to Innsbruck (03.09.22): Departure at 09:00 am from Obergurgl. Arrival in Innsbruck HBF approx. 1 1/2 -2h later. The bus will stop at Innsbruck Airport before going to Innsbruck HBF (train station).

Arrival from Munich to Innsbruck

  • By Train: from Munich main station (Hauptbahnhof) or Munich east (München Ost) to Innsbruck main station. The journey takes around 1h 45min; tickets cost approximately 45€. This line usually departs from Munich Hbf every two hours starting from approximately 7:30 to 19:30. For further details, check the Austrian railway webpage. To get to Munich main station or Munich east from Munich airport, take the S1 or S8 train, approximately 11€, (S-Bahn), both of which run frequently (approximately every 20min). Tickets can be purchased online from the Austrian railway webpage or equivalently at the ticket machines of Munich airport (a combo ticket including the ticket for the S-Bahn can be purchased at Munich airport).
  • By Shuttle: Four Seasons Travel can pick you up at the airport in Munich and transfer you directly to any place in Tyrol. The price is 56€ for a one-way transfer and 96€ for a roundtrip.
  • By Bus: There is a bus service with FlixBus that goes to Innsbruck main station. Buses run from roughly 9:00 to 21:00 every two hours and the trip takes approximately 2hrs and 45 minutes. Tickets cost approximately 20€ and can be purchased at FlixBus.

Individual Arrival to Obergurgl

An airport shuttle (Four Seasons Travel) runs from Munich or Innsbruck airport directly to Obergurgl. Shuttle service from and to Obergurgl is also possible via the Ötztal Shuttle , which can be booked directly.
