A Message from the Organizers
Dear Obergurgl-Participants and Invited Speakers!
We have decided to NOT cancel the conference. It will take place as planned. We have official permission from the relevant authorities. We have received a few cancellations, also from some invited speakers, but we will fill up the opened speaker slots from the excellent pool of submissions.
We ask you all for one favor, in fact we need to make this a requirement: To minimize the risk of somebody having to go into quarantine, for those of you who have not received a "booster" shot at the time of the conference (i.e. the third vaccination shot), please bring along a valid PCR-test result, in addition to your proof of vaccination.
This is for everybody's safety.
If you need to cancel your participation, please let us know a.s.a.p., at the latest until January 31st 2022. We have a long waiting list and we evidently need to inform those persons that they can get a slot. If your cancellation comes to us in time, we will reimburse your fees.
Thanks a lot. This will again be a great conference!

The conference is cosponsored by the University of Innsbruck, the Austrian Science Fund FWF via the Spezialforschungsbereich beyondC and the Austrian Academy of Sciences via the Erwin Schrödinger Center for Quantum Science & Technology (ESQ) .
Lectures will be held in the morning and in the afternoon, with an extended lunch break allowing enough time for discussions and outdoor activities during the day.
There will be the opportunity to contribute talks or posters, which the scientific board will select from the applications. The posters will be presented in two evening sessions.
Obergurgl is located in the Ötztal in Tyrol (the 5200/5300 years old mummy "Oetzi the Iceman" was named after the valley and was found in a nearby glacier). It is a prominent skiing resort in winter and a nice and relaxing alpine resort in summer. The conference will be held at the University Center Obergurgl, which is associated with the University of Innsbruck.
