Deactivating the automatic Windows 11 upgrade
Please only follow these instructions if you want to keep Windows 10 for the time being.
1. Open the Software Center on your PC by entering the term in the Windows search bar.
2. Select “Deactivate Windows 11 Inplace Upgrade” under the Applications in the menu
3. Click on “Install”
Instructions for reactivating the Windows 11 Inplace upgrade
Follow these instructions if you have deactivated the automatic Windows 11 update but reconcider it before the update is carried out on 25.11.2024.
1. Open the Software Center on your PC by entering the term in the Windows search bar
2. Select “Deactivate Windows 11 Inplace Upgrade” under Installation status in the menu
3. Click on “Uninstall.
Instructions for testing whether a PC is Windows 11-capable
1. Open the K drive on your PC and search for the Apps folder and the managedPC folder in it.
2. Execute the file WhyNotWin11.exe
