We are pleased to inform you that the registration and abstract submission for Climate Change, The Karst Record IX (KR9), to be held in Innsbruck, Austria, between 12th-15th July, 2020 is now open. Peripheral activities associated with the conference will take place from 11th - 20th July, 2020. Further details are available here (https://www.uibk.ac.at/congress/kr9/). 11th July, 2020 - Early-career researcher workshop on Cave Monitoring with Dave Mattey
11th - 12th July, 2020 - Cave photography workshop with Robbie Shone
12th July, 2020 - Fieldtrip to Spannagel cave and Nature's Ice Palace located on the Hintertux Glacier
12th July, 2020 - Icebreaker
13th - 15th July, 2020 - Main conference including workshops
15th July, 2020 - Conference dinner
16th July, 2020 - Fieldtrip to Eisriesenwelt cave
16th - 20th July, 2020 - Fieldtrip to Eastern Austria
Please note:
- we are aiming to be certified by Green Tirol as a "Green Conference"
- childcare will be available on-site at no cost during the main conference
- awards will be given for best student poster, best student presentation, as well as the Karst Waters Institute Karst Award to Prof. Stein-Erik Lauritzen
- travel support is available for early career researchers and those from low, lower middle, and upper middle income countries

31st January, 2020 - deadline for travel support
15th February, 2020 - abstract submission deadline
29th February, 2020 - early-bird registration deadline
30th April, 2020 - regular registration, childcare registration, fieldtrip registration deadline
Fieldtrips and workshops have a participant limit. In order to guarantee your place, we recommend booking early. The organisers also reserve the right to cancel the fieldtrips if there is not enough interest. Please note also that July is high-season in Innsbruck. We therefore recommend booking accommodation early.
