EmpEc-Working Area "History of Globalization"
The members of the research area mainly focus on the historical analysis of global issues (i.e. distribution of wealth and poverty, human trafficking, hunger and other disasters, etc.) primarily applying qualitative empirical methods (exemplary and analytical description, comparative historiography). As such, the research area is presently also constituing part of the Cluster "World Order and Extremes" at the University-wide Research Area "Cultural Encounters - Cultural Conflicts" (Link - German only) and the research field "Economic and Social History", established at the Faculty of Economics and Statistics (Link - German only).
