Dr. Adam Winsler is full/chair professor of applied developmental psychology at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA. His research examines bilingual language development, bilingual education, and academic achievement among ethnically diverse, duallanguage learners and immigrant children. He also studies the long-term effects of preschool programs, school readiness, the arts and child development, and children's private speech and self-regulation among children.
