Simulation Reliability in Geotechnical Engineering: A Coupled Analysis Method on Soil-Structure Interaction
Bahram Salehi and Barbara Schneider-Muntau, Iman Bathaeian (ILF)
The study aims to develop a reliable method for assessing prediction accuracy in numerical modeling of soil-structure interaction. Various constitutive models will be used to simulate time-dependent behavior of support systems in tunneling. The results will be verified using actual case studies and monitoring data. Shaking table tests will investigate seismic behavior in horseshoe-shaped tunnels. The findings will calibrate the numerical model for more accurate future predictions of soil-structure interaction.
