Dr. Vasojevic's teaching philosophy is grounded in student-centered approaches that cultivate a growth mindset and foster student agency. Her research is dedicated to advancing human rights for individuals with disabilities, with a particular focus on ensuring access to inclusive education.

(since November 2024), Senior Lecturer, University of Innsbruck, Austria.

Winter semester responsibilities at the Department of Teacher Education & School Research (lectures and exams):

  • Research questions and research findings in Inclusive Education
  • Cognitive Development and Learning

 

(2018-2024), Inclusion Lead in International Schools, UAE, Germany and Switzerland.
Oversaw and implement whole school learning support provisions in mainstream schools. Coordinated student support services, pastoral care, and senior leadership responsibilities in international schools across the UAE, Germany, and Switzerland.

(2012-2016), Special Educational Support Services Provider, South Africa and the UAE.
Led special educational services for students with diverse needs, collaborating with community service providers, parents, and individuals with disabilities.

(2005-2012), Residential Support Services and Human Rights Activist, Belgrade, Serbia.
Enhanced special educational services and coordinating a team of special needs educators and rehabilitators in residentials. Collaborated with the civil sector to improve service delivery and uphold the human rights of individuals with disabilities in residential settings and the community.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods to enhance rights and education for individuals with disabilities.
  • Conducts action-oriented research to promote social and educational change.
  • Explores effective inclusive education models, including Multi-Tiered Student Support (MTSS) and Individual Educational Programs (IEPs).
  • Advocates for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Response to Intervention (RTI).
  • Focuses on early identification and removal of barriers to inclusive education.
