Abstract: 

This seminar will delve into the transformative potential of Extended Reality (XR) technologies—encompassing Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Virtual Reality (VR)—in advancing the Internet of Ability (IoA). The IoA envisions leveraging technology to enhance human physical and cognitive capabilities, bridging the gap between human potential and technological innovation. Drawing from my research, the presentation will explore XR applications across diverse fields, with a particular focus on healthcare and cultural heritage. Real-world examples and ongoing projects will illustrate how XR enables immersive, user-centered solutions. The discussion will also address the challenges and opportunities in integrating XR with IoA, offering insights into its future trajectory and impact.
