Abstract:
High-Performance Computing (HPC) is a cornerstone of modern research, enabling simulations, data analysis, and AI workloads at unprecedented scales. This talk will discuss current and future HPC resources and trends at UIBK and in Austria, as well as present the Research Center HPC. The main aim of the research center is to provide optimization and training services, to facilitate resource access through programs such as EuroHPC Access, and in general support research and networking related to HPC. Furthermore, this talk will give you an overview on how to port your scientific problem solving from your local computer to the largest supercomputers world-wide at zero financial cost.
