The Department of Translation Studies at the Leopold-Franzens University in Innsbruck can look back at almost 70 years of history and belongs to one of the oldest institutes for translation and interpretation studies in Europe. For more than a decade, our department has offered an international translation and interpretation studies forum for discussion through a series of international lectures on translation studies, the international conference series TRANSLATA, as well as the SummerTrans summer schools established in 2004.
