Innsbruck
Innsbruck, the capital city of Tyrol is a scenic town located in the heart of the Austrian Alps with 130000 inhabitants. The most well-known attractions include the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace and the Ambras Castle. Innsbruck is an ideal place for hosting such a conference, as it is situated in the Inn Valley about half way between Munich and Verona and easy to reach.

Travelling to Innsbruck
By car
Innsbruck can be reached by car from the west (Vienna) or the east (Zurich) along the Inntal Autobahn A12, from the south (Verona) along the Brenner Autobahn A13, and from the north (Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen) along the Seefelder Straße B177.
By train
Trains from major cities (e.g., Vienna, Munich, Zurich and Verona) run to Innsbruck main station at an interval of about one to two hours. For time tables, fares and tickets please visit the website of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).
By plane
Innsbruck Airport is located in the Inn Valley about 4 km west of the town center. It is a small airport served by a number of European airlines. Daily scheduled flights to Innsbruck are from Frankfurt and Vienna. Please visit the airport's website for scheduled and charter flights from other cities.
Munich Airport (MUC) is the next major airport. The train ride from MUC to Innsbruck takes about two to three hours. Four Seasons Travel and MeinFernbus offer airport shuttle services between Innsbruck and MUC.
Public Transport in Innsbruck
Public transportation in Innsbruck is managed by the Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe (IVB). The public transportion in Tyrol (train, bus, and tram), including Innsbruck, is co-ordinated by the Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT). Please visit their websites for time tables and fares. The bus station infront of the conference center is "Chemieinstitut". Bus line C and M run between the town center and the venue. For your stay in Innsbruck please consider the Innsbruck Card.
